UI/UX Designer (m/f/d)

As a UX Designer, you will play a crucial role in understanding user needs, conducting user research, and collaborating with the product team to create engaging and intuitive developer experiences for the automation industry. You will have the opportunity to work on a variety of projects, from designing user personas and customer journeys to developing low-fidelity prototypes and creating visually appealing style designs that matches the needs of industrial HMI software and also industrial HMI software developers. This role requires strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and a deep understanding of user-centered design principles.

Your responsibilities
- Conduct user interviews and usability testing to gain insights into user behaviors, goals, and pain points
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including product managers, developers, and designers, to gather requirements and define project objectives
- Assist in the creation of user personas, synthesizing research findings and identifying key user archetypes
- Develop customer journey maps, visualizing user interactions and touchpoints across different stages of the user journey
- Create low-fidelity wireframes and prototypes to explore and validate design concepts and interactions
- Stay up to date with the latest UX design trends, tools, and methodologies to continuously enhance design processes and deliver high-quality results
Your background
- Master’s degree in design, Human-Computer Interaction (HCI), or a related field. Relevant work experience may be considered in lieu of a degree
- Familiarity with user research techniques (interviews, surveys, usability testing) and proficiency in design and prototyping tools such as Sketch, Figma, Adobe XD, or similar
- Understanding of interaction design principles and the ability to create wireframes and low-fidelity prototypes
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills with the ability to articulate design decisions and provide constructive feedback
- Excellent verbal and written English, German is a plus, other languages are an added advantage
